Got a letter today saying you can know check your debt online, make payments etc. I thought Great I like being able to check things online.

But no not that easy. You have to create a new password. But doesn't tell you what format you have to use and brings back Invalid password format.

Just a heads up and a rant..

Although I think you need to wait for the letters with login details.

Managed to get in. still not sure what there format is. All the passwords I tried are very secure.

Well i say I got in accepted new passwords etc and just loads up an error page. They seem to be as useful as there phone service.

When I set mine up, it was erroring on my initial password. I then read the notes correctly and found that 2 numbers are required, but they must not be typed one after the other.

Once I was in it was a waste of my time anyway. It only tells me information I already know.

that must be it. I did include several seprate numbers in the last password I tried.

But your right, I'm now in and it's useless. But hopefully I'll see the update before October, which is when I usually receive my yearly update.

err it wasn't hard mate, min 8 letters, max 16 letters, numbers/letters and case sensitive O_o

Only thing I found crazy was recieving a letter telling me my username but no passwords, then 3 days later recieving a letter with the passwords but it doesn't list the username :D

Fairly paranoid. Though banks do send bank cards and pin numbers separately...

Cheers for the heads up, I have a habit of filing away important letters in a huge pile never to be found so this will show information I don't already know!

Hate the stupid company:

SLC: What is your super secret password ?
Me: Huh ? Never had one.
SLC: Yes you have we have it here, what is it ?
ME: I HAVE NEVER HAD A SUPER SECRET STUPID PASSWORD.
SLC: Ok will ask you some other security questions. We can reset your super seret password and send you a new one, but it can only be done once in your life.
ME: Fine, send it.

Months later:

Me: No I don't have my super secret password to give you, you never sent it out after resetting.
SLC: Im sorry sir I can not divulge any information as i cannot confirm who you are.

****wits, they screw everything up, then steal our money to sit in their coffers for a damn year earning interest
SLC: You must give us this password so we can talk to you about your account

Meh, logged in, says my student loan is circa 15K. I only had 3years at 4k ish. For some reason they sent me the first installment of the loan this year (I'm not even enrolled - I'm finished)... then cancelled it. So goodness knows. Meh.

Im currently on my 3rd year placement. So one year left...

On that site it says - Balance - £12,921.39.

Does that mean I own them £12,921.39?

Although this is odd becuase I should be on 9k

1st Year - £3000 (Tuition Fees)
2nd Year - £6000 (Tuition Fees + Loan)
3rd Year - Nothing. On Placement...

Anyone explain?

Nearly 4k interest in under a year? Reading from his post, he is on his placement now.
