I've been looking at this the last time I used it it tasted like gas, I added milk instead and it was fine - is that an acceptable replacement when using it? Any other better products? Only need it for 4 weeks.

Also, what are the best protein foods? Everywhere I look is high in carbs.

why do you only want it for 4 weeks?
yes there is lots better out there, especially when considering the price.

high protein foods, come on. a very short search (both here and in google) will answer that :p

Really a temporary thing to assist in my cardio, price doesn't bother me too much if it has the added premium to ask for it.

Oh yeah, is it ok to use milk instead of water because it tastes so nasty?

I'll Google now I suppose.

I don't understand the need for these supps for you... but anyway it's your body, but don't really see what you'll gain from those. Mixing with milk is fine, it'll just sit in your stomach a bit longer and take longer to digest.

As for high protein foods you obviously haven't looked hard enough ;)

i can think of loads of white meats that are full of protein have almost nil carbs and they are easily found in most shops with atleast a fridge.

make some chicken salad or something

I want to use it for when I am starving so I can satisfy that hunger urge a couple of times a day. MyProtein has some useful information so I'll be going with this for now.

I saw you've been using peanut butter spread, it is great for protein but what about the high levels of fat, does it not affect your training?

I'm using the promax stuff at the moment, I take it for breakfast and with some fruit for lunch. They recommend that you use skimmed milk, I tried it with water and it was horrible, it's actually quite nice with milk though.

Ok, i really dont understand why you want it.

also, you should never feel starving, even when trying to lose weight.

I don't use it exclusively :p

It's a nice high protein snack on some oatcakes that I use it. Yes it has fats, but don't forget that you do need some fats, and I eat a very low fat diet. I dont' eat crisps or cakes or bad foods, though I have a few cheat days every now and again - which is perfectly healthy.

It's about having a balanced diet - lots of protein, lots of carbs, lots of fats (good fats), lots of fibre, lots of fruit, lots of veg (especially green veggies).

I don't obssessify or count calories, grammes of protein, protein:carb ratios etc... I eat a lot, I eat well, and I eat regularly. I train hard (though I've had a couple of weeks off owing to injuries), and it all adds to some excellent results.

Certain fats are very good for you. Peanut butter, Fish oil tablets, Olive oil are a big part of my cutting cycle.
