I currently have a car near identical to the following 2005 1.4 Ford fiesta flame except different colour (slightly better bits and bobs than the zetec) http://www.compucars.co.uk/used-cars/ford/fiesta/for-sale/?599110

Well cut a long story short some dopey posh daddys girl in a bmw crashed into the back of me on a roundabout and messed up the back of my car. It has been repaired by her insurance but it just does not feel the same anymore and little things are gone e.g. instead of having "flame" on the back it now reads "zetec". Well you might be thinking so what? Well my car is bright metalic orange the flame stuff kinda made sense to me :P

Anyways I have £3000 left to pay on the loan so I am going to let my brother have it and him finish of the payments.

So the question is what car would be a nice upgrade from a 1.4 2005 Ford fiesta zetec for about £6000? (ps I dont really like the "nipples" on the front lights of the redesign of the newer than mine fiestas :( )

That's early ST money that is, Fiesta ST of course. 6k will get you a pre facelift model with low mileage. That's if you want another Fiesta...

2.0L Petrol, 150ps (148 BHP)
Big alloys, half leather interior, lowered, improved suspension, factory bodykit and a few more extras as standard.

Coming from a 1.4 it will feel rapid, very rapid. Insurance Group 13, MPG is in the high 20s / low 30s and about half that when it's being pushed. My Friend had a ST and I liked it a lot. People will say Clio 172/182 but the ST feels more "solid".

If you want to go bigger than perhaps a Focus ST170, I am very Ford biased BTW. Other car manufacturers are available :p

I think investing £10 or whatever it will cost on another "Flame" sticker would be a better bet ;)

Hahaha. Well its just not that tho that was just an example. The car was smashed up so bad at the back my friends thought it would be a right off. It was in the garage for nearly a month lol. To be honest it just does not "feel" the same anymore now i dont know if its just me or the car or both :) The way i look at it is the car got raped and i want to move on from the whole incident by means of getting a better car. Now the ford ST on the pictures earlier does look nice but i cant find one anywhere and i am writing this on my mobile atm whilst looking around car garages. Someone mentioned larger cars as long as it is only focus type larger i am open to suggestions :)

mondeo prob tad too big lol. The guy in the garage just tried to sell me a citroen c4 55 plate £5500 1.6l? Is it a good car at good price?

I wouldn't, I'd rather be branded with a hot poker on the arse than get that!

A lot of garages are charging over the odd, your best bet is pistonheads, plenty of STs there.

K i will google pistonheads when i get back home. You say charging over the odds. Can you give me some idea of how much i should be trying to get off a car at a garage like a general idea to go by? Thanks for the help btw

Double post?

Overcharged as in Dealers always charge more than private, if the dealer offers things like dealer warranty, it may be worth paying the bit extra for the piece of mind.

:o God knows what happened I reloaded the page once or twice whilst looking around but the sun was really bright and the n95 screen was barely visable so maybe I accidently pressed some wrong button? :(

Sorry if it annoyed anybody. I wont use my mobile to post on ocuk ever again
