Obviously I can't post where but that seems like a good deal, there's also a free delivery code and 1.5% Quidco.

Check the usual deals sites to find it I guess.

Please. Don't. Tempt. Me.

Cracking offer. Am I right in thinking the 40gb comes with a SixAxis and not a DualShock controller?

Thats a pretty good offer, 40GB isn't much though with most games having 5gb+ installs now but whack a cheap HDD in there and that is an awesome buy

*edit* actually, if you need to spend about £50 on a hard drive and £40 on a dualshock controller then it isn't that good

Meh, 40GB should be sub £200 by now :/

Cant believe I spent nearly £300 on something I hardly ever use, impulse buys suck.

Well sell it then?

But yea for a 40Gb I think another 20quid could come off as it probably works out about the same as a 80Gb if you include additional HD space + DS3.

40gig harddrive is plenty if you delete demos etc when you're finished with them. Got all of my games that require an install installed and street fighter 4 + valkyria (both optional), loads of PSN games and still 6gig to spare. Only game i haven't got installed is Ninja Gaiden Sigma which is optional. GTAIV and GT5 are two of the installed games and they're also the largest i've seen.

You can probably buy a bigger hard drive than an 80gb + DS3 for roughly the same price the 80Gb costs, but then what it comes down to is how good are the bundles for the 80Gb consoles.

I bought mine mainly for Blu-Ray but now I just can't justify keeping it as I hardly use it and have cancelled my LoveFilm. I have it up on auction now.

Selling it with my Wireless Singstar mics as well, will hopefully push the price up a bit as they are not even out for sale yet :)

So glad I never impulse bought a PS3.... always cost just that little bit more than I thought they were worth.

Considering nearly all my mates had them at launch and I was a lonely xbox360 owner.... only one of them still has his PS3 and he never uses it!!!!

Even this deal isn't very good imho?

o noes :( This comment could ruin the thread.

Anyone that spends £300 on an impulse buy is either filthy rich or pretty dumb.

No other option?

In my case it was a combination of my own money plus money given as birthday gifts. I didn't want anything else at the time, so bought a PS3.

The PS3 is a great console, it's just that the current exclusives don't appeal to me and I think the pad is poor, therefore I play on it very little.
