Jade dies

Bottom line is that i have never met her, she hasn't done anything worthy to society, regardless of age or even of her personality, if i start to spend time on everyone who die young, of cancer, war, famine, i won't have time to breath.

Exactly. People die. It's called nature. Someone dies somewhere in the world every two seconds (or so they say), we are all only here for the blink of an eye considering the planet has been here for several billion years.

So let's move on, shall we?

Can't believe this was the main headline on BBC news. She was a nobody with a publicist and to have the prime minister commenting on her death just shows what a pathetic celebrity driven culture we live in.

Poor girl. 27 is no age.

She landed on her feet with the BB gig because she worked it so that she didn't have to do a proper job yet still managed to rake in a fortune. And people call her thick!

It must be dreadful knowing that you have no hope and not only just waiting for the inevitable but having to suffer more and more until that day comes.

My thoughts are with her three little boys.

So she's gone from the Media's envisaged devil to their messiah because she has died from a disease that many better than her have died from with no mention?

She's not the messiah, she ain't getting back up again at Easter.

That was uncalled for IMHO. Regardless of what you think of her personally, her children have lost their Mum. If you really can't say anything positive then keep your trap shut.

How many children lose their mum across the world every day?

Why is it such a big deal in this case?

Another moronic comment. The whole *thousands die every day* thing is a pile of crap. Some people are deemed more newsworthy than others because they lead more interesting lives than others.

A newspaper would be impossible to print if we wrote tales about every person that died every single day.

Why people even say this is beyond me. Just accept that the Media works like this.. it always has and always will

RIP Jade.

I think she handled it all VERY well and was very brave.

My thoughts go to your friends and family, especially your children at this very difficult time for them.

To loose your mother on Mothers day is very sad indeed :(

But she has two little boys, unless you count the violent little criminal she just married

As for the BB gig, it's more a poor reflection on our modern culture than her common sense - She was uneducated and amazingly ignorant, and only became a "celebrity" because of this stupidity. Sad state of affairs really...

Anyway, it's sad someone so young has died, and friends and family are suffering. But let's not turn her into a little princess over it...

Thanks.

Thousands? Yes, that would be "a pile of crap". Try millions. Of which Jade Goody is precisely ONE.

....and what sort of people are most susceptible to the media?
