Also, if there are any alternatives to this machine for this sort of money with or without a monitor. It will mainly be used for photo and general office work with maybe some gaming thrown in to boot.
It is also an option for me to build my own but it would be from scratch.
However, as i said, it's been a while and i have unfortunately fell a little behind with specs and compatibility issues.
Therefore, if anyone could spare the time, any advice on a pc spec would be gratefully accepted.
Thanks for your time in advance.

The last time I checked.... they sell food and other low-grade, budget stuff. Like shoes. And toolkits. And scuba gear. And random car items. Stuff like that. Hardly a competitor.

**** are a competitor?

The last time I checked.... they sell food and other low-grade, budget stuff. Like shoes. And toolkits. And scuba gear. And random car items. Stuff like that. Hardly a competitor.

They sell computers... how could they possibly not be a competitor?

In case it isn't clear in text, I'm being condescending.

@ OP -I'ts actually not a bad deal if you don't mind having a load of crap installed on the OS (easy enough to remove). You would be hard pressed to build better for the same price with an OS as well. One thing you have to remember is that a PC you build yourself will be much easier to upgrade in the future.

im a member on the aldi medion support website, and have bought a medion PC before.

if i was you, i would hold out till the summer when they usualy release their high end spec PC's, but if you was desperate i could warrent the purchase, considering the ammount of extra's you get, such as the Media connections and card reader.

problems that they come with is messy wiring, but if your not scared to open it up and go over the cables again and direct some better air flow, then its not too bad.

oh, and apparently the installed GFX card GT140 is apparently a rebranded GeForce 9600GT

to OP here is a link to the medion support website if you are interested in said computer.
