Incorrect, this is caused by a defect in the paintwork. There is nothing wrong with using power washers.
Theres plenty wrong with not using them correctly.
Lame attempt tbh.
You worry when you take the paint clean off and leave bare metal!

Because the instruction manual is so clear?
i think the instructions typically say 3 things.
dont spray the machine
dont spray animals
dont spray other people..
why? because theyre pretty brutal, anyone who has accidently jet washed themselves knows that, hence you dont put it close to your paint

How many men do you know that read instructions?
The instructions for modern lifts say you need to wear gloves and a hard hat.
You don't need to read the manual, just use common sense? If you drop a sponge on the floor and start washing your car with it, there will be marks and scratches, it doesn't say this in the 'instructions for sponges'.

erm, not many, but karcher foresaw this issue i think. my machine has little pictures actually

Like my 1 year old Punto. Took it back and was accused of trying to sand down the paint to the metal so I could touch it up! Promptly told them where to go. Got rid of it 6 months later and never touching anything Italian ever again.

If hundreds of people every year can use something as simple as a cotton bud incorrectly every year, then using a pressure washer incorrectly doesn't surprise me.

Not me, exhibit number 1 - I was just trying to get that extra stubborn spot off, edging ever closer and ever closer... I knew it would happen but you tell yourself it'll be fine...
