Right here is the problem..... I was out partying on Saturday and i ended up feeling seriously rough on Sunday. I had planned on going to the local card shop and getting flowers on Sunday but i was in no state to leave the house and deal with the general public.

I am going to try and get a card after work but I'm not sure if the shops will still be stocking them. What do you think?

Couldn't you have put in a bit of effort for your mum and actually ventured outside? Or even better, get a card before the actual day itself?

Sounds like if any of your (future i assume?) kids forget mothers day they will be getting the cold shoulder for sure!

No, it's a generic card with a picture on the front and no greeting inside.

But then its not blank is it? :p

I'm sure his mother is going to disown him forever and forget all the other happy memories they have simply because he forgot a card.

Tescos and the like may have some lingering around. Card shops will have some stocked all-year too I'd imagine. Although, you'll probably get some funny looks.

Buy some macaroni and PVA glue instead.

Tell her that you've been doing some research and that Mother's Day has nothing to do with your parents. It is actually the day when you were supposed to go to your "mother" church for a special service and hence she's getting nothing :)
