As per title really, I lost my phone a couple of months ago and went through the normal routine of reporting it to O2 so that they could block the handset and sim.

I have since had this phone returned to me and was wondering if I can legally get it unblocked - Is it just a case of phoning O2 and telling them I now have it back and would like the barring removed?

Cheers,
G

Did you get any kind of insurance pay-out for the lost phone either via O2 or home insurance?
If so, remember the old handset is now legally their's.

Yeah, I did actually. I have O2 insurance so they sent me a new handset when I reported the other one lost.

I take it that means they'll be wanting the old handset back if I get in unbarred? :(

Will prob just keep it as a test/spares handset for myself then. Its an HTC Touch Diamond so I'm always mucking around changing ROMs etc.

That way, i can try out new ROMs on the 'old' handset before committing to them on the 'new' one i got.
