So recently I bought 2 nikefit drifit skin fitting base layers from sportshoes.com and within 2 weeks both have managed to tear, one was slightly my fault for pulling at a thread which my mum sewed back together, but tonight after taking the other shirt off in the gym I managed to tear a hole right through it . I'm probably going to send nike an email saying I want a refund etc, but anyone dealt with their customer service or is this issue something I should bring up with the retailer I bought it from?

Email will get you nowhere. Either ring the place from where you bought it and ask for a refund or ring the manufacturer themselves and ask for their customer support department.

If you ring them up you can explain to them the situation and get a response from them there and then. You're wasting your time with emails.

Your contract is with the retailer so its between you and them.

You could try sending a complaint to Nike and hope for some kind of freebies or something

Big laugh at the people who say they buy brands like this because of the quality.
It's made by some kid in a factory in some asian country, what'd you expect?

Please remind me what competing brands do otherwise.

Where it's made and by whom does not matter. The level of QC does.

Sportshoes.com, in my experience, are excellent at promising to phone you back and not doing so, so bear that in mind. They do have some competent staff though :)

Well, they are expensive baselayers (~20-25rrp) so I didnt expect it to rip, shame too because I really like em. I'll give sportshoes a call and hope for the best.

Although I'm outwith their 30 day guaruntee or whatever it may be so do you reckon they'll do anything?
