Working on an overclock on my E6750 in an Abit IP35 mobo
Got a Tuniq tower on it and in a Antec 900

Its currently sitting at 41 degree C
Its down to 22 dec C when not under load

This is measured with Core Temp 0.99.4

Is this lkely to be accurate, I am trying to get a feeling for temps before I push the CPU OC up a little.

Anything else more accurate or is this cooler really that good?

Edit updated after a real intensive prime test its at 42 deg C

Been pushing to find the limits
Seems to be 3.456

I have tried upping the volts on everything no diff (just 1 click)

At 3.456 its 100% stable in prime and WOW. I even ran WOW with prime in background to keep max pressure on system.

But just 1 click higher on FSb means it fails prime really quickly, like between 10-30 mins.

So looks like I have found the limit for my chip?

Nope, overclocking is more complicated than that. Hows your ram look? Tried different northbridge dividers? Tried two notches or one notch on two settings at once?

Sorry maybe wasnt clear, I put all the settings up a notch, could try two I guess.

I actually went upto 3.6 and worked dowards from there with prime to get to 3.456.

When messing with prime options it looks like the ram is fine as if you switch the settings to teh ones that stress the CPU more it fails faster.
I cant lower the RAM ratio lower than 1:1 on the Abit IP35 so cant force the ram back within specs so it could be that.

Dont seem to have any northbridge dividers either, its not a great options board for overclocking a lot fo teh things people say to try and force emmoery dividers etc are just not available or masquerading so something wierd sounding if they are.
