I'd go for one of these, relatively highest powered from the bunch, not exactly bad to drive, I'd opt for the Laguna because of sat nav, part leather, cruise etc and I think they look quite good. Since you dont have to pay running costs or anything I think its a good choice.

However the Insignia seems a good choice also because of the engine, it is near enough bottom in trim level but should be a good drive

Mondeo or Insignia, good cars to drive and a decent level of kit. I'd edge towards the Insignia, looks a tad better imo, both are low spec models tho:(

Looking at that list im gonna stop whingeing at my list, ours is awesome compared to yours!

Depends how much of a petrol head you are. Will it be your only car or do you have a "TOY" as well?

I have a Passat 170bhp and a "TOY" Audi TT. If I were to have a choice Id go for the best fuel enomy TDI I could and then have a nice quick weekend toy. Is this your only motor?

Fuel economy shouldnt be an issue because that would be covered. So go for comfort and poke :)

Yeah its going to be my only motor. Will have a fuel card so not fussed about economy.

I'd go for the Mondeo, Focus or Golf, the latter two if you're going to be doing a lot of A/B roads. If motorways, I'd go Mondeo.

Company car doesn't always = motorway miles, though I'll concede it does usually :p

Get yourself down to some local dealers and have a mooch round a few of the cars on your list, taking test drives etc. At least then you will know yourself if you like any of the cars.

I'd have the Insignia estate/Mondeo est easily from that bunch, but I suppose that means more BIK tax? Estates are useful and since you're not going to be looking cool in any of these motors you might as well get something that performs well on tip duty on a Sunday morning.

Laguna = high chance of being stranded on the motorway due to some crazy electical failure.
