Morning guys. Got my Catz SE stick yesterday and ........ I am just not getting on with it - need some advice.
I think one of the big issues for me is the fact that the stick moves in a square base and so you can't naturally swing the stick around - it goes to the corners. I thought that it would move in a circle or a octagonal base so you can feel when the stick is at the top, down forward, forward, down back, etc etc, positions. the difference in position between down forward, foward, forward up is just to small for me to be able to pull off precision moves and quickly. if there was a notch or something so I could feel when the stick was in the positions that I think I would find it easier.
I appreciate that it is me and not the stick, as top players use sticks. However has anybody else found this and any advice? Also I read that some people have modified the stick with Sanwa parts; what does this do and how did it help you?
Around 4:30 it shows the 'restrictor plate' - clear plastic part that sits at the bottom of the joystick - it is clearly octagonal - can you buy these?
Edit - answered my own question - found one to buy and will do. Hopefully that will help.
