I am not sure of this so im hoping someone will help.

Say if i put the AA in the catalyst centre to 16 would that auto override the games settings of AA?

Say if a game reads 4AA and i have it on 16aa through catalyst how would i have it use the catalyst instead of in game?
 
Good question. I am a little vague on this and similar situations. Like when you set the AA to edge which is the best right ? Then you set the AA to x24 then after checking the box it drops down to 8, I appreciate that is the standard max for games but I don't fully understand it.
 
I think the CCC settings override the ingame settings when they are set, and the ingame settings can only be used when you tick the Use Application Settings box for the AA/AF in the CCC, but if the game has its own AA/AF settings, then it is best to use those, and put the CCC to Use Application Settings, as having both set, can cause some problems in some games, as in some cases the CCC will not override (i think), so you end up getting them conflicting. :)

The ATI ones will usually take priority, but if the game cant support it it will get buggy.

On a slightly unrelated note, how you liking the Tri Fan? I am waiting on mine getting delivered to my girlfriend's house :)

Its good but screw pop out the back of the back plate when i was benchmarking it seems fine though temps are awesome and games just dont stand a chance when your armed with one.
 
pair it with a good spec pc though and a 1920x1080 res, i am gaming on 1600x1200 crt monitor which is like 11 years old and is on its last legs.

I am buying a 22inch lcd monitor 1920x1080 res so i will get to see what this baby can really do.
 
Just one more question. If i set 16AA in catalyst centre when i get into my game do i turn the AA off in games for it to fully work form catalyst centre?

One way to check is to set both to "OFF" then go into game take a screenshot. Then put it "ON" in the CCC and take another one.
