Thankyou OcUK

Dude i think your setup is nice ive got the same case, its well nice apart from attracting dust very quickly :P also what have u got ya fans set to cos mine r on low to mid and there doing brilliant.

yeah 900's are pretty darn hard to get neat without some serious case/cable modding.

hope you are pleased with the build though spec aint half bad :P

Yes I am. The only things I have played on it so far is COD4 and Left4Dead. Am going to play Cod W@W tonight and will buy Crysis and see how that goes. I may put the first Hidden and dangerous on there too and really push its limits!

How loud is the rig matey?

It can be quite loud. I am unsure as to the case fan settings. I may investigate when I get home from work but it can be quite loud at first. Graphics fan I set around 34% and it is barely audible over other fans while idling, when running a game I will have sound on and will up the fan to 40% maybe a bit higher and it will start to be fairly prominant.

I am however going to move the tower to the floor to the side of my desk. This way it will shield the noise a bit when playing games and I reckon this will reduce the noise quite significantly to where I sit at my desk. Not much louder than your average system though and it won't be a problem when its moved.

i find when a machine is placed on wood the noise esculates carpet floor ***!(what content filter blocks for the win?)
There are small switces on all the fans that look like little black squares with H M L written on them for high medium and low. Mine are all set to low and cooling is still ace. (although the noctua helps the CPU a lot.) try on low just monitor your temps as it will need good cooling.

You will find the fan speed controllers on the inside more than likely, black cables with a switch for Low, Med, High, should be 4.

And as for putting it on the floor, good idea, if you never ever want to hoover again... :D

Thanks for telling me that guys, had no idea it was done physically by swtiches, here was me thinking that there must be a program in the control panel that changed them!!!

I am a bit of a Vista newbie and have not used it until last Tuesday so how can I find out the temperatures of the cpu? I've found the graphics temps on catalyst ai. I guess temps above 90c are probably unacceptable limits, from reading around. What about the cpu and where does it show the temps?
