£1000 watch?

Guys,

It's my 30th soon and the wife is asking about presents...
I quite fancy a new watch.

I just wear a cheapy £10 Pulsar at the moment, so want to "upgrade"

So what can I get?
Links to examples would be good. (I don't think OcUK sell watches, so shouldn't be any competition laws?)

Only problem with it is that it is a quartz, and overpriced.

Only look to see what you like, don't buy from there.

yep. For the money go for the omega, see if you can get the automatic one though.

Bit of a hijack but my mate has a watch he claims set him back £20k+ (which I dont doubt) but cant remember the name of it. Its quite a big chunky thing and the dial is set into the watch sort of. Can anyone link me to a picture of one like this so I can remember the name.

why did you even come into the thread let alone post a reply like that, every single nice watch thread is ruined by people making similar comments, he's not asking you opinion on whether you think its worth spending that amount on a watch!

I wish people would get over the fact that someone can and wants to spend a good chunk of cash on something
