But ask yourselves this question, why is this minor expenses breach on the top news agenda of the day? This is part of another political agenda to discredit New Labour, somebody or some organisation is pushing this story, and the McNulty story.

Politics is a very dirty game, and will get dirtier.

I don;t believe that we have to pay for her TV. It makes me feel sick that im paying for this. Its even worse when the country is in the state that it is money wise. I mean is there any reason we need to pay £67 for her TV

they would probably claim she needs it for the news channels, was it gordon brown who was buying every possible newspaper he could lay his fat hands on daily and claiming he needed them for his job so claimed the money back

wtf are all these analysts and advisory roles for if not to keep key members or the goverment upto date or are they just so they can get immediate family members on the payroll

Kind of ironic isn't in the last few months MPs have been out in force basically calling out bankers and near enough branding them as thieves, are these MPs any worse? On what basis should the tax payer be paying this stuff

It was a £550 stone model from Habitat. The minister, who earns £141,866-a-year, even claimed for an 88p bath plug.

She had already spent £460 on a dining room table, £704 on a sofabed, and £1,000 on an antique fireplace. She claimed for the cost of coal to burn in it.

Other items included a Hotpoint cooker, at £399 plus £15 connection, a Hotpoint tumble dryer worth £189 and two washing machines in under two years, a £249 Ariston and a Zanussi worth nearly £300.

Her entertainment centre was to include DVD players, two Samsung widescreen televisions and two digital set-top boxes worth more than £1,100.

That is from the Daily Express webpage, now if that is correct for me that is down right scandalous. How on earth is an MP able to claim for these things? The things they get away with are borderline criminal imo, they are basically such sponging of the tax payer. The worrying thing is they make their own rules so nothing much can be done as well, remember last year they got to vote on their own pay rise and to avoid a real backlash.

Is that dumb bitch actually saying that someone who can attain the office of Home Secretary doesn't know what's going on in her own home and with her own expenses? What really irks me is that as soon as she's rumbled, rumbled again I may add, that she thinks a half-hearted apology will somehow clear it up?

They're corrupt as hell! The entire Labour government is bent and as such needs to go.

they had to publish all of there spendings or some such but recently i believe they made a new law so they are kept secret.

She's our MP here in Redditch, she has a house here where her husband & kids live but she calls it her second residence in order to get thousands of pounds expences for her London residence which is her sisters house & apparently is rarely there , talk about ripping us off ? they're all at it MP's of all parties claiming millions of our money to pay for their mortgages etc.
