hey guys. got a quick question regarding the warranty on my 8800gts. got the card in december of 2006, so ita around 2 years and 4 months old. i didnt register the card after purchase. i need to rma the crd as its just died on me

am i still covered?

you have to register within a month of receiving your item. but you know the saying - "if you don't ask you don't get". email them and ask!

Any card introduced before Feb 21st 2008 didn't have to be registered, so it will be covered. :)

Can you confirm this anywhere?

I just got a BFG GTX285 and it had to be registered within 30 days of purchase to get the 10 year UK warranty.

If its true in what you say I won't register my next BFG card so I can sell on with a lot of warranty with it.;)

Thats really gud news if thats true.is there a specific contact 4 the uk,and wud i have to send it to the states os can i do it in the uk

No specific contact for the UK, just fill out the RMA form on the BFG website, when they accept it they will ask you for your address, serial number of card and some other stuff. They will then tell you to send the card to an address in Wales where the RMA will be processed.

guys, at the risk of sounding really stupid, where is the rma form. have looked for it on their website, only seems to be an rma tracking page?

so guys, got my rma through. i sent off one of the original 640mb 8800gts' and i got a 512mb 8800gts in return. surely this isnt right. shoudl i get in touch with them and have a moan or is this a fair replacement?
