Hi there i have the asus tri fan none refrence board.
im wanting to watercool this card what blocks could i use.
just a shame its the none refrence. thx in responce. ;)

The answer is none.

All full cover waterblocks for the 4870X2 are only compatible with built by ATi standard reference design at present.

yeah its a toss up between the swiftech blockx2 or the one you posted.
from what i have herd the vrms get very warm on this card i might have to put a fan overthem and test with gpu-z to see if they run ok. thx for getting back . ;)

Hi Dazboot,

You will need some sort of block to cover the vrms, blowing air may not work and could kill the card.

ah didnt know that thanx for letting me know. have u any sugestions on what i could use. think i should take the hsf of and take a picture of the card. would make it better for some1 to choose something which would work. ;)

Hi Dazboots

What water cooling system do you plan to use with the card it maybe not be suitable to handle the extra heat (Rad size)?

Why do you want to water cool this card it for noise or O/C?

Do not forget soon as you remove the Asus heatsink you lose the 3 year warranty

Option 1, I would e-mail EK, may have a new blocking coming out.

Option 2 I would trade or sell this card for other 4870X2 that is based on ATI standard reference design.
