anyone been banger racing

Hey guys,
its a mates birthday coming up (AFAIK he doesn't post on here... if he does hes certainly keeping it quiet) and were trying to find a decent "experiance" for him.

He loves his banger rallies so were thinking of getting him a proper banger racing/stock car experiance.

Has anyone done something like this & was it any good? ideally we'd be looking for somewhere in the south east (Aldershot circuit would be ideal)

I use to go to Hednesford Raceway in the 70's to watch the Hot Rods race and my mates dad was British Hot Rod champion 3 years running. It was great stuff back then but Hot Rod and Banger racing was in its prime with live TV coverage any everything. I did the world Stock Car finals at Coventry some years back too and that was brilliant fun being at night, on gravel and with beer. I would suggest if you can get a night event then you'll have a good laugh.

My advice if you are going to Stock Car aim for gravel and night time racing as they make fantastic noise and get VERY sideways on the gravel. I went to the finals at Hednesford some years back and they were less good on the tarmac.

Even better, but that will need to be bangers and not sure what the licences details are etc.

If there's any Auto-Grass tracks near you, see if they have any Demolition Derby's coming up, absolute hoot to do and best of all dirt cheap. He'll find out how difficult it is to crash into another vehicle when you're actually trying to
