Is nobody else concerned about Thesnipergecko's state of mind?

Have kept out of this thread, have known Paul for years and he's a sound bloke.

All I will say, what he does with his stuff is his choice, if this is how he copes with things then so be it.

BUT, if it is true (and this is not the place to have these things confirmed or not), then I am genuinly sorry for the news Paul.

Totally agree and by the same token, people that consider him to be a friend wouldn't take advantage.

You're forgetting that when the majority of this happened, no one knew the story behind it and just thought he was being nice as they were games you could pick up for under 20 quid. Obviously now with the PS3 etc. it's quite a bit more unusual.

Agreed, won't stop people taking the pee now though will it. I must say when you see someone on a give away like that it sets alarm bells ringing.
 
Well i swithered on whether to mention what happened, and i know ill get flack for doing it, but i just know having gone through that myself recently, that it completely messes your head up and you dont think straight for a good 6 weeks afterwards, id hate to see him do something he regrets later, as I know all too much how your decision making process goes out the window.

My wife punted me at the time for spending too much time on my pc, so my response was to give it all away, we eventually found a balance and got back together and all is rosy again, but it was an expensive way to go about things! Im not suggesting that gaming was a problem for him, but i know what women can be like.

Paul's a great lad and a really good asset to the forums, we all campaigned hard to get him back and it would be really sad to lose him because we all know just how much he enjoys his games, whether he regrets his actions in time, only he will know, but i hope that any stuff people recieve just now get put aside and returned in a few weeks when he is more like himself.
 
Agreed, When I split with my girl of 6 years, I didnt touch my consoles, My PC or anything, For a good few months. Just didn't feel the need for them. My brother who is a big guitarist, He has like 8 Guitars? And when he split with his girl he sold them all, and is now in the midst of buying them back. Grief does wierd things to us.

That's why I kept away from the threads for a while, didn't seem at all right, even from the beginning. :(

I don't know if TSG is still reading these threads, but I will say this.

Although it probably doesn't feel like it, it will get better. I can assure you of that.
A lot of people have been through similar circumstances, maybe not the same, but there's plenty of people here I'm sure that are willing to give you advice if you want it.

Keep you're chin up, and it'll get better. It just takes time.
 
I echo what metalface has said.

We campaigned, myself included (under a previous name), to get him back and it would be a shame to see him go as he has and always will be a great asset to these forums.

Spot on there, I don't really know TSG well but I hope all works out as I do know you have done a lot for this community, and are clearly one of the good guys.
 
Hope you sort out whatever's caused this :) Incredibly generous offers but I do hope you don't live to regret any of them!
