Samsung Omnia I900 owners thread.

I've just installed home2 on my Omnia.

How do I change the bottom taskbar? It currently has Menu on the left and Bookmarks on the right. I would like to have maybe Contacts on the right.

Also, how do I get a big digital clock on the front screen? It's currently really small at the top with a date.

I want to get rid of the search bar in the middle of the screen.

The Video files (I assume you mean the files created by the phone) are standard .3gp files which play in WMC, VLC and Quicktime!...

if you want to convert them to .avi files grab a copy of 'SUPER' (google for it)... its a program that can convert ANY file type to ANY other file type (audio or Video) I've not found a format it won't do yet!!...

And the joy is... All these Programs are FREE!!..

its really quite smooth atm, and pretty stable (had a fun time getting it on through, errored on me twice randomly)

the today screen is still a bit slow but much better than before, and honeycomb menu is a joy :D. Id say its worth a bash !
wish i could remove the bottom softkey bar though,and change the voicemail menu to contacts or something.
 
Hey there, forum noob Omnia owner checking in.

Quite a thread this. Lots of information - far too much for one reading.

I've got SPB MobileShell installed on mine, with Pocket Player 4, Google Maps, Live Search, Youtubeplay, Coreplayer and a few other apps.

Had my teething problems like most, it seems, but like the phone a lot now, and don't really have any problems with it. If only I could remember to turn wifi off after using it so I don't run the battery down overnight...

Looking forward to browsing this thread more carefully and getting some more tips on tweaking this phone.
 
im using fingerkeyboard (its been cooked into the 6.5 rom, can dled as a .cab too), just flashed to H2 so havnt installed anything yet.

im sure ive had youtube fullscreen before (when i first got my omnia over xmas) and defo had iplayer working fs. Watched wallace and gromit xmas special on it :D

i meant H2 of windows 6.5 (sector just released it). no idea what ver fingerkeyboard is on. Its great though! Can type damn fast with it in comparison to the defaults

theres a thread on modaco about it i think? /the guy that made it or something

someones just made a beta playstation emulator for the omnia, haha. NEeds a bluetooth keypad but it works apparently
