Dragged my mountain bike out to pop down to a country pub with a friend and had to stop 4 times on the way there, only 2 miles
That was about 10 days ago. I've just got back from a 6.6 mile round trip
However, my bike has developed a nasty sound when peddling.
It's an old 15 speed mountain bike that has been outside all winter and needs some TLC.
Anyone any links to a Haynes Manual kind of site that will take me through the basics of bike maintenance and show me how to strip it down, and then rebuild it? Or just general websites with good info?
List of issues is quite long, such as the front gear lever slips and needs constant readjusting, no front brakes due to snapped cable, weak rear brakes that wouldn't help in an emergency etc.
Oh, and the rear gear lever has a tiny little knob on it that slides back and forth, any idea what this does?
