Figured i'd stick up some pics I took when building my new Antec 902 this weekend, apologies for the poor quality cam pics and blurry few, taken off my old camera phone
Parcelforce guy woke me up at 7:50am on a SATURDAY, wasn't too bothered though as he brought me these goodies:
Case out the box
Side View
Artic Cooler 7 fitted on the board, figured i'd do this prior to the board going in as it initially looked a tight squeeze
Distance between the bottom of the cooler and the Asus heatsink was rather close lol
Bit of a mess
Velociraptor and Samsung F1 in their cages, grrrr!!
4870 Fitted, but was VERY close to the EPU heatsink lol
Card itself looks really well in a black interior case
Bit of RAM bashing
Back of the crappy old Soundblaster card is a few mm's from the heatink on the RAM
Ultra blur time!
All up and running
Couple of niggly things really ...
1) The case fans and gpu fan is extremely quiet, but the artic cooler 7 fan was out of the box spinning up at 100% so was deafening lol ... uses Asus's FanTweak to drop it down to near silent
2) Couldnt get the RAM to run at full 1066MHz despite mine and a few others off here's best efforts ... just leaving it sat at 800MHz at the moment
3) The 2 front USB ports dont quite give enough power for some of my usb powered external hard disks ... not sure why though ... some work, some dont, so have to use some at the rear
Overall very pleased with the build ... it's extremely cool inside, and has my CPU sat down at 35º idle ... love the build quality too!
