One of my bulbs (D2S) has gone this morning, online retailers seem to want ~£60 a bulb whereas some traders on the bay are asking for ~£30 a set.

Any feedback on eBay bulbs?

I bought a set of D2R from ebay. I forget the name of the seller but they've been in over a year and still working fine.

Might be worth trying the other working bulb in the other headlight just in case it's the ballast that is at fault and not the bulb.

Xenon bulbs (D2S and D2R) can vary quite wildly in brighness and colour temperature.
You are best off eating the £60 and getting the exact same model as you have in the other lamp.

I was going to replace both anyway as I've heard that they can vary a lot between old/new. Besides if I didn't replace both, then sods law that it would blow a few days after I'd sorted the other one! :p

I think some people from here have bought HID conversion kits for a reasonable amount, that include bulbs - so the cheaper ones should be ok?

I bought a h1 kid kit otherweek for £40. Car had a ebay kit in it for alteast the last 2 years. Seems fine.
