Friends

yup, friends rocks. very clever scripting and just so damn funny :D

we all can relate to at least one of the characters.

Chanandeler Bong was my favourite character.

Great episode!

The whole series is great, not many shows manage 10 seasons without losing their way, and I felt Friends always performed strong.

"Joey doesn't SHARE FOOD!"

"Paper! Snow! A ghost!"

Joey is my favourite character, shame the spin-off sucks.

I remember going in to school when Friends used to be on at 11pm during the week and NO ONE had heard of it.

I was telling people how great it was.

6 months later it was moved to prime time and everyone loved it.

Great series! :)

We had a similar british series called Coupling. Also very funny! :)

It's a shame Seinfeld and Curb Your Enthusiasm never got moved to a primetime slot. :(

I am not ashamed to admit I've always had a soft spot for Janice. Yes, I indeed think I would.

If I were forced to criticise the show I would say I wished they hadn't made Monica just sooooo fastidious about stuff in the later series. Towards the end of the show to me they placed too much emphasis on "Monica not liking things out of place" style gags, she became a bit one dimensional as a result. Like I say, only if forced to criticise.

Its also good to spot the actors who went on to become movie stars by appearing in Friends. I'm thinking Ben Stiller, Geovani Ribisi etc.

I'm not sure if you can attribute Ben Stiller's success to his appearance in Friends.

you'll be telling me you don't like Frasier next!!

Funny you should mention that, another series with occasionally funny bits but mostly just a passable way to waste time.

I'm not sure if you can attribute Ben Stiller's success to his appearance in Friends.

Perhaps not but I'm happy to blame Friends for him if that is any better?

I used to think it was lightweight American rubbish, but I'm hooked now, it's very funny. Matthew Perry is perfect for his character. The only thing I don't like is the stupid 'whooping' from the audience whenever two characters kiss or a celebrity turns up. Calm down!
