Toasted Sandwiches

You need a proper toastie maker to do it but you just crack the egg in the middle of the bread, stick another piece on top and clamp it down.

Has anyone successfully managed to get an egg in?

I tired once and failed, but I bet it's doable.

Not particularly into it myself, but a few family members used to make egg toasties in the toastie machine. Use one of the "egg ring" things (not sure what they're called) when you crack it to ensure it all goes onto the middle of the bread. Quickly lift the ring, slap on the top slice of bread and close the machine.

Cooked egg toastie in 5 mins. My brother used to put brown sauce on the egg too before removing the ring, so it mixed in with the cooked egg.

Our toastie maker has a dent in it so there's no need for a ring.

that's not a fool, that's just retarded. it's like saying "oh i've been hang gliding", "have you?!"... "no"

PK!

Firstly, less of the personal insults please.

Secondly, I reserve the right to make what I thought was a blatantly obvious sarcastic comment on any day of the year, it was in no way intended to be an april fool.

If you're feeling a little upset because you thought I was being serious, then I'm sorry, but please, just lighten up and move on. Also could you kindly not use my name at the bottom of your posts, just to avoid confusion as to who is actually making them.

PK!

Firstly if you were asking if precooked meat was ok to be put in a toasted sarnie then, holy **** you fail so hard.
Secondly, bacons actually alright, the molten cheese cooks it, it'll won't be crispy or nothing and possibly a little raw but completely edible, i've never got food poisoning and i eat week old things cold most of the time without a second glance.
People are too careful with food nowadays, i think the reason i've never caught food poisioning is largely down to the amount of dodgey food i eat.

Toasties are great. Some of my favs are:
-Bacon and egg
-Cheese + curry powder
-Cheese + baked beans
-Banana + chocolate

Really strong cheddar and marmite toasted under the grill slowly is lovely; just make the sandwich normally and then keep turning it over now and again until it's nice and melted.
