Good luck to ya :cool:

I would have thought these would have been a little cheaper. It's quite lot more than a 260 216 core, but not a great improvement. I guess once they have been around for a while, the dollar/pound ripoff might level out, as these should be about £190ish really. ($250)

The problem with the 275 launch is we don't know what the cards are going to be exactly until the day they land whereas the 4890 we have the stock already.

So.... is this better than the 260?, slower than the 285?, or faster than the 285 but slower the 295 - but faster than the 260 in sli?. And what about the GTX280? - faster or slower (this card that is - 275?) faster than the GTX280 or slower? - more power efficient than a 260?/280.....

:(+:mad:=:confused:

Id also like to no this is very confusing in the gpu world at the moment.:confused:

As far as my understanding goes, it's still the higher the number, the better the GPU. Ie the older GTX280 will still be marginally faster than the new GTX275, as the GTX275s are aimed at a cheaper part of the market than the GTX280 was. So if this is correct, then the GTX275 will be faster than a GTX260, but slower than the GTX280 and of course the GTX285. The rest speaks for itself.

You'd think that, but looking at some reviews today, the 275 doesn't seem all that different to the GTX 285, it's actually slightly faster in a few of the tests done, but that could be down to the 285 bottlenecking faster.

From what I gather, it's half a GTX 295. SO it's basically the illegitimate lovechild of a 280 and a 260.

OT, this is cheaper than I'd have thought. I'm gonna go and have a dig around for some benchmarks of 275 vs 4850X2, because they are at the same pricepoint.

edit: my googling powers are weak today, I can't find any =(

The GTX275 is somewhere in between GTX260 216 and GTX280

It has the same GPU as GTX280 (albeit with slightly higher stock clockspeeds) but it has the reduced memory subsystem of the GTX260.

An overclocked GTX280 is better than the GTX275.

wow these looks tempting! May wait a month or two for them to go below £200. They seem to be better in benchmarks than the 4890 and ive allways had bad experiences with ATI cards.

and wow the Zotac one at 702 core and 2500 memory for the price!
