Regseeker equivalent for Vista?

I've been happily using Regseeker for XP but there doesn't appear to be a Vista version, is there a decent equivalent that is trustworthy?

Also is there a way of stopping Vista asking me if I'm sure I want to start up a program? "Of course I'm sure I chuffing well clicked on it didn't I?" :mad:

2nd question, i take it you mean UAC? in that case try tweakUAC, very handy.
1st question... something like CCleaner would do the trick for you?

I use CCleaner for a quick clean of temp files, is it reliable for reg checking?

yea. put it this way, it takes the safe options. I cant say I have ever had a problem with it.

I've not had problems with it. And it can back up the keys it deletes for you so you can always replace them if there is a problem.

ccleaner is one of my favourite apps. Very neat little program, not sure how advanced the registry cleaner is though but it does the job for me. Used it more times than I can count and I've never seen it bork a registry

Is this for real? I've been using regseeker on Vista since Vista came out.

Well there is a Vista version but it crashes whenever I use it on Vista x64.

I've always just used CCleaner under Vista & never had a problem.

I had CCleaner screw an install once, but it's been fine the other hundreds of times i've used it.

After watching a few of Mark Russionovich's (sp?) online videos, that guy from sysinternals that MS now employ

He suggests that vigorous registry cleaning is pointless and shouldn't be done on a daily basis, following this, I only use ccleaner's reg cleaner, it seems far tamer than regseeker

Can't say I've had any issues with regseeker at all though

Fair enough but it won't launch a scan for me.
