While an ATI fan, both cards are fanstastic performers out of the box.

I'm sure you'll be happy, they're very similar in terms of performance with the ATi winning in one or two games (GRID and Fallout 3 come to mind).

I would have had the 4890 myself, but they're so close I wouldn't worry about it.

Whichever, i went for the GTX275, my friend went for the 4890 (From 8800GTX).
We'r both happy, performance is easly within 1-2 FPS of eachother in all apps so far.

I have a 4890 here - and I'd say go for the 275, unless you don't mind a noisy PC.

Well yes, thats one thing.
The 275 i recieved is deadly quiet, even at 80% Fan speed.
