Floppy drive.?

Why is there a drive A:3.5"floppy drive in "my computer" when i have no such drive installed.?

is there anyway to get rid of viewing it in there.?

I know for a fact there is, as I don't seem to have the A: drive in "my computer" anymore. However I cannot remember how on earth I did it! I have an inkling that it may have been something to do with disabling it in bios, but I can't be sure. Maybe take a looksee in yours?

in BIOS you need to disable the floppy controller

Would come back on reboot unless, as Raziel1 has suggested, it is turned off in the BIOS.

Hmm i have just disabled it in the device manager and its dissapeared, think it will come back next boot.?

Shouldn't, when i disable my Bluetooth adaptor in Device Manager it stays disabled.

You can either disable in device manager or bios

have Same Flppy Drive, read somewhere that it is there for purpose, but can't remember now, as wasn't to bothered
