6800 GT vs onboard 7100??

I am considering upgrading my system which currently has a 6800 GT (o/c by about 33%). I was thinking of buying the mob and ram, cpu and later this winter buying the GPU. - I notice some P31 boards have onboard graphics which are Nvidia 7100 - will these be as good or better than my 6800 GT?

Should I forget all this and spend £60 which would blow all of this away? (and make me spend all summer playing games?)

But on a plus side I guess the onboard GFX will use little power and be very quiet?

The 7100 is gonna be a lot worse than the 6800gt, yer less power and silent graphics, but anything over 2D (i.e 3D :p) will kill it!

Is the 6800gt AGP or PCI-express?

The 6800GT is more powerful by a long way than a 7100. Basicly a 6800 equates to a 7600. You may as well save up some money and get a GTX260 or higher (or an ATI 4850) later on, rather than spend on a £60 card that wont be much better than the 6800 so will be a waste in the short run.

What games and resolution ya playing at mate? Usually for £100 buy that 4850, brilliant little cards (got one running in my machine, happily chugging out pretty colours on latest games on a 20" screen :))

PCI-E. From the comments I'm wondering if I got it wrong and I've got a 6600GT - still sounds faster than anything built in - onboard.

Res and stuff I'm a bit shaky on - it's quite a while since I used it, maybe 1024x768 I'm stuck on far cry 2. (and have been for a long time) I just max out other settings as the card can handle.
