Still playing since launch and still loving it. The endgame still needs a bit of loving but there is certainly a lot more to do compared to when it was released. The 1.05 patch has just hit testlive servers and has radically changed the gameplay of most toons but for the better. Once this itemisation patch is rolled out on live servers the new content patches should follow in about a month or two's time which will bring more endgame content and quests for higher lvls.
It is still the most beautiful MMO ou there and now has the performance to make it worthwhile IMO.
If you are gonna try the 7 day trial i would avoid the PVP servers though as the ganking is rife (this is apparently going to be addressed in a future patch) you will likely never get out of tortage in under 7 days on a trial account on a PVP server.
I think the thing that has kept me with this game is the combat. The combo system has had some tweaks and changes since launch and is a big part of why i like the game. You feel constantly engaged in fights especially with a mele class. Its kept me hooked for nearly a year now and will do for some time yet.
Worth a shot even if you were dissapointed with the launch. I know there will be some who will hate on it purely because it was the "cool" thing to do around the launch and some will still hate it because its not WoW with nudity but the best way to form an opinion on this game is to play it!
