Me neither, played over 500 ranked games too, then I'd say about another 200 odd against friends, AI, Ultimate. Worse thing is, i have players that never even attempt the diving header, yet a lone score them, not sure what I'm doing wrong?!

What makes it worse, I played the wife the other day and she got it straight away :(

I have only done a couple of diving headers, yesterday i noticed i double tapped shoot to make him dive at the ball. May be conicedence, have yet to score one the keeper saved it yesterday with a ridiculous dive.

i did manage to score a free kick for once

I've scored free kicks from the edge of the area using the right bumper and pressing up to lash the ball in, cant score from far out tho...

Diving header is hard, I did it by chipping a through ball to my striker and tapping the shoot button, think the ball may have bounced first..
 
I find free kicks pretty easy on 09, much easier than 08.

I have only scored one diving header which was from a rebound and was about 1 yard out with Essien :)

I scored an overhead kick in the demo but have only actually had one attempt in the retail game, and that was saved :(
 
I've scored quite a few.

Got all of the different goal type trophies within a week of them being released on PS3 except for the Bicycle kick one which has been saved every time.

I find the easiest ones to score are right on the edge of the box. Hold RB (finesse shot), aim centre of goal but slightly to the side you want to hit it, then shoot about half power whilst holding forward and left/right (depending on which side you are going).

Obviously works best with the best players as they have loads of curl and can get the ball over the wall and down again very easily.

if your struggling to get the free kick one, play yourself with 2 pads one team manu, foul your self just to the left of the d right on edge of area, with ronaldo do a driven shot to the to right.

dont go over the wall just smash it in the opposite corner most times keeper cant stop it.
 
I love it when you're playing ranked games and you go behind late on only for the opposition to keep time-wasting, passing it around in defence etc, it's bloody infuriating...well he kept doing that until I robbed him of the ball and equalised, then scored in 120th min.

Is there any effective way of stopping players who whore ronaldo by sticking him up front. I play as chelsea in all my games and neither terry or carvalho have the pace to keep up with him nor the strength to hustle him off the ball and he just storms through and it's an easy goal for the opposition. I really can't stand players who use it as there is no real skill involved, any tips would be much appreciated.
