The title is the question really.

I just wonder how many of you feel you are on the forum to much?

I am at work now, but while waiting for things to upload (files to websites or whatever) I will tend to post a bit :p

Also does being here make you more inclined to by a particular product? Even as small as wanting to try out doom 40000 because you see the screen shots in the screen shot thread in the PC games section?

I used to be on here all the time, but with me getting stuff sorted for the navy, im lacking the time now.

Although, if I go on the internet I always have the forum up as a tab on safari. :)

yes, job is slack so this kills time.

i learn lots, find out latest news, occasionally come across something funny (:p) and i'm always inclined to buy something when i read up on it on here.

the free postage for members is dandy too :)

Not as much theses days

When I joined I used to be in Hardware, Windows and Games - now I just read Motors and the odd GD thread whilst at work - it keeps me sane but the blue stands out a mile!

At the moment yeah, but it's just about the only thing keeping my sanity at the moment so I think I'll forgive myself.

I'm on here about 1/10th of the time I used to be, so no. This place can suck you in, and it's important that you realise that. About 6,500 of my posts are useless drivel, after which I realised I should be spending my time doing other things.

Sometimes yeah. If I'm waiting for stuff or if I'm in between bits and pieces I'll usually have a quick browse which can turn into at least 15 minutes.

It all depends on how long my attention span is on that particular day.

Half my posts were created when I was injured and home alone and bored a couple of years back... but I still post an average of 5-10 times a day at the moment depending what i'm up to, more if i'm trying to avoid going out and there's some good discussions going.

Of all things on the interweb I really, really enjoy using forums, they have given me a huge amount of fun over the years.... they're a place to gain some good tech knowledge, read the varied opinions of many people on all manner of subjects, and provide some genuinely funny moments, whether it be laughing at a hilarious pic, or some goon who's just embarassed himself with the most cringeworthy "bare all" story yet read.

I think as long as you balance them with going out and having an active social life (ie: talk to real people too) then there is nothing to be worried about. :)
