That all depends on whether he called a press conference to declare his thoughts about Jade Goody, or whether an interviewer asked him off the cuff whilst in the middle of something else.
This is the time she's being lauded as a superb role model. This is the time people need to be realistic about what she's given to society as a person.
Nothing.
I usually dislike Parkinson, but I agree with him here. Goody's death is as tragic as anyone's, and it is somewhat fitting that the ultimate reality TV star showed us the grizzly reality of death too. However I don't think she is a good role model to aspire to for a variety of reasons. She hasn't really done anything worthy of note in her life.

OK moving away fromt he smear thing.. the reason people seem to like her so much is because she had the classic coming from nothing and going to celebrity status in one big jump thing going on..
In effect what people liked about her.. (I guess) was the chance that they too could go from their normal mundane lives to massive celebrity with all it entails.. after all if someone as obviously err... let's say dense, and let's face it, not particularly blessed in the looks department, can go from council estate living to money and tv programmes.. then there was hope for everyone..
Unfortunately the people that's likely to appeal to are the same people that are addicted to all the lie detector test talk shows, which I guess is what Parky was aiming at.
I doubt Parky would say something like this to "exploit" the situation. He's old enough and wise enough to know that comments like this are gonna split the public, but then he probably doesn't really care. He's built his reputation up over many years, and has no real need of opening up new niches for himself.. he's just being how he is and stating something that many people are thinking, but perhaps a little too scared of the consequences to say. I've heard yorkshiremen are like that..

Sure her boyfriend is probably a complete ass. I still think that aside from her celebrity status and role in society she died less than one week ago and people are grieving for her. This article undoubtedly caused them pain and could easily have waited at least another week or two.

I see where you coming from, but it also seems like your trying to be awkward and hard work on purpose.
Its not like hes been going around picking up litter and feeding orphans etc for 50 years but hes been doing consistently well in the broadcasting industry for all that time. Just like anyone, he got Knighted for doing what he does and does it well consistently. Could you really see Jade Goody milking big brother for 50 years? (forget the fact shes dead lol)

About bloody time somebody stood up and said exactly what we have all been thinking.
I have nothing against Jade, her way of life, family etc. What annoyed me was the media circus surrounding her departure, hyping her up to be something she wasn't, and may have even through her own stupidness contributed to her demise.
