It's not better. It's infinitely worse because it requires you to install Apple Quicktime. I'm not letting that crap anywhere near my computer thank you very much.
Edit: I was able to figure out which side the mask was facing. It's nothing to do with schizophrenia, all you have to do is observe how the shadows are in relation to the lighted bits. Unless the light is directly behind the camera (impossible, because it would cast a shadow), you can always tell which way it's facing.
