New car smell

Often when i've had a new car (company of course, would never buy one) passengers have commented how nice it smelt, how nice the "new car smell" is.

Surely i'm not the only one who thinks the combination of new plastic, paint fumes and who knows what else is bloody horrible and can't wait for it to go ?

i've never owned a new car but been in a few (my mate only buys new), and as you say the "new car smell" isnt really that great. If it was my car id have to bung a few oder eaters or something in there to get rid of the smell.

Get the vanilla magic tree, smells awesome without being overpowering if used correctly.

It's actually an aerosol used by car dealers to give their cars "that new car smell" because buyers love it. No harm will come of it.

Good post - I have no idea why I like the smell of new stuff - but I do! Even things like unwrapping a new xbox360 or graphics card - the actual smell isnt what you'd normally class as nice, yet somehow is lovely :/

I love the smell of Kerosene, Petrol, New Car, Tarmac etc. Maybe it's all dead animal related.

Ah now tarmac smells lovely. Can't argue with that. Candles and struck matches too. Don't mind the smell of petrol either.

Can't get on with new car though.
