As for the whole random rules in ancient threads thing, it's a bit harsh on people who don't read GD to be banned in the other sub forums if they post the pic (or do claimed)

Yeah, but the problem was some people were a bit too quick off the mark to try and shoot down every new thread. It'll probably be slacked in the future once the fascination with the picture has finally died down.

I give Xzibit half a year tops (that is if it doesn't go away first).

If threads are crap, people will always find a way of shooting them down.
