Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Great games tonight Cav, ended 6-4 after the restart which is what the matchup should be. I hate having all my match start options snuffed out by Guiles normals :P Is his sweep unpunishable by Blanka, mine is for sure punishable on block :(

First time I've pulled off hop into ultra online :)

Only thing I find annoying at the moment, not you specifically but with the game is the game giving people free specials in the sense that they do an input for dragon punch left to right but I crossup and it comes out right to left. It should either whiff a dragonpunch the wrong way or get a punch of the crossed up side.

Tbh after the disconnect I was something like +11/2 up and I was getting really tired into the second bout of games.

Saw the hop into ultra! Pity it didnt connect :D

But nonetheless great games, but I have to warn you about one thing.
Your gameplay is predictable and need to mix it up a bit more, one of the games you did take me by suprise when you did change your strategies.
Keep doing that and you will be soon kicking my bum;)

is this coming from a blanka player that has a nearly completely safe anti-air which covers the full 180 degrees? lol! :D

id be very surprised if blanka can't punish a guile sweep (roundhouse anyway), you should be able to punish him with all sorts if you block the first hit.
 
I think thats KS's weakness by playing Turtle Blanka. Blanka has to apply pressure on Guile constantly, otherwise letting Guile come to you could be devestating if you are playing as Guile.

I REALLY regret selling my stick as I know that in some situations where I lost a silly game or two, simply because of this poor 360 pad.
 
My stick is being delivered to my mums this morning so I should have it sometime next week. I'm mainly a Ryu player although I have improved a little bit since that rather embarrassing video of my first round match against v0id. I think I'm away this weekend but anybody feel free to add me as I play SF most days. I usually struggle against Blanka so it would be good to get some practice against him :)

I won the game with hop into ultra, not sure why you thought it didn't connect. I do ok when I can mix up the shenanigans but it takes a lot of getting used to. Crossup, hop through into throw works well. You always seem to block crossups and flashkick normal jump in's so it's hard to alternate between the 2.
 
So i've bought this games and love it, I'm pretty bad but I do blame the pad ! Got blisters and bleeding fingers and only played it about 20 times !

So what other pad's/sticks are available at a reasonable price ?

Oh on Xbox too !

I hardly play turtle Blanka, I'm the one that's always on the offence, I seem to be turtling cos there is nothing I can do when you are sat on downback charge. You throw out booms all day long and punish nearly every move with flashkick and I can't even slide under booms because you block with being on downback charge straight away. Any time I knocked you down I was instantly moving in for crossups and wakeup game shenanigans. Ask void how much I rushed down his Sagat, Guile is just more annoying.

Hori EX2 stick: £40

Madcatz SE (with Sanwa components): £70 (£100)

The TE is not worth it (as the modded SE is identical in performance for £50 less) and neither is the fightpad.

I play a hybrid Blanka and would like a Ryu sparring partner :)

wow my game has arrived! I ordered it from an online site owned by a highstreet gaming chain.

ordered it yesterday afternoon, cam 11am next day. mega impressed!

Now who do I beat up first? I'm just a button smasher so beware!!!
 
A good way to practice is to do the normal trials with your favourite character, and go through the arcade mode to unlock a few more characters.

Then catch me on XBL for a beating and I'll give you some tips :)
