The best thing you ever bought

My first house that i had to give back.
My car that crashed on its own.
My first wife that left me.

Or my first box set of DVDs which i stll have and love, Secret Army, the best BBC drama ever made even tho it is 30 years old.
 
That would be a Lima Class 47 model.
47 369 in two-tone green, first model train I ever bought, was about 13 at the time :)
Now got 13 of the Lima 47's alone, and at least 3k of models, plus I hate to think how much time and effort.

Are you intto railyway modelling in the sense of using a 00 guage? My dad is into that ^^

Actually at the moment nothing :( but thats because my college has all the facilites and a proper recording studio etc. I sometimes use a drum loop and just try stuff out though along with my PC. I'm waiting till i have the funds for a drum kit and recording equipement before moving everything into a seperate room and having my own lil recording studio haha.

I plan to have it all sorted by summer so mates can come round and we try stuff.

Unfortunatley i have recently been to Iceland and i absolutley loved the place (yes i am speaking about the god damn country! haha) so i am keeping a lot reserved for a return visit to it in the summer with it. Also i can't bargain on not spending a lot on socialising etc.....the stresses of a student eh!? :p;):D Oh and then theres also leeds fest tickets if theres ever another chance to buy some......basically i will see if i can fit it all in for before getting a car etc...will have to see how it all pans out.

And from one small question you have now recieved an essay haha.

Yep; there's a few of us about the forums- There's one chap with it in his sig (Class04 or summat, think he was 2mm though) & others who I can't recall at the moment.

It's really 4mm to the foot though :D 00 is the track gauge, although it is inaccurate to the scale, it's really the only choice if you don't want to scratchbuild or hack together stuff.

haha, honestly some of the tools that I have found indispensable are, my (brothers) Pod XT, able to record straight to PC with anything with a quarter of an inch jack. Drumkit from hell and FL Studio (fruity loops) with them 3 tools a hell of a lot can be done
 
Nothing really. I could live without all my material possessions I imagine. Nothing meaningful has ever come of my money I don't think. Hopefully one day it will anyway!
 
Second thoughts, Broadband per month.

What would i do without that.
Newspapers sports poker games email, etc etc.

The only trouble is now most of my youtube is blocked by the Fuc... EU
 
Among stuff like computers and consoles which is the heart and soul of my very existence, the one thing that keeps me constantly thinking: "gosh, this is the best thing I've bought" - is my iPhone 3G.

Cracking piece of kit, it never ceases to amaze me. I've always hated owning a mobile phone because it gives people the freedom to call you WHENEVER they please, and it's always inconvenient. Not answering the phone is only an option to a certain extent. Since I've got this little gadget, answering calls and texting friends has became rather enjoyable again, and I have to say - my friends seem less boring.

I do not have a mobile and don't want one. Well it's always turned off.
