On a motorbike is weaving in and out of traffic illegal?

Say if traffic is stationary going down the middle of the lanes at a slow speed?
It should be. This is very annoying when the bike is practically on my side of the road (I'm driving along in the opposite direction to them) and they act as if I need to move out of the way

Well disregarding the fact some power rangers ride like complete bellends this doesn't answer my original question

Generally there is a rule of 20:20 - don't filter if the traffic is moving faster than 20mph and don't go more than 20mph faster than the traffic you are filtering through.
Filtering is a perfectly acceptable aspect of riding a motorbike, its something that most bikers will do and done right its pretty safe and shouldn't **** off people in cars. Car drivers that have never had any bike experience also need to learn to respect this and use their mirrors more in traffic!

That sounds like lane splitting, You'll have traffic either side of you and you're sat in the middle. The traffic will be staggered so you move left to right hitting each of the gaps.
Pretty dangerous but its a very quick way of moving through flowing traffic, be warned though you have a good chance of wiping yourself out doing this.
No idea if it is legal of not, I would imagine it could be seen as 'eratic'. Normal filtering is perfectly legal provided you do not force cars to move out of your way, ride over solid/double white lines, ride aggressively, overtake the lead car on a crossing with zig-zags, go round islands etc.

It is if the traffic on the right is stationary or hardly moving as it would be in a traffic jam on the motorway. Just like it is legal to do so in a car in these circumstances.
As long as the biker isn't being a pleb (which 10% are) most police officers wouldn't bother with them.
Weaving in and out of traffic it's moving at pace is illegal though as far as I am aware. depends on your definition of weaving though!
erm same way you sit in a car stuck in traffic looking a complete plank ?
filtering through static / slow moving traffic is legal if done without driving dangerously, as is moving to front of traffic light jams... i've moved to front along police on many occasions, no probs.

annoys me when cars undertake on motorway at 70 also, are they trying to kill me ?
then we need to assess why a car (or bike) is able to undertake. Probably means that you are lane hogging, hence the need for the car (or bike) to undertake you, Keep left unless overtaking.

Some (not all) bikers have a stupid habit of trying to get past artics that are taking a wide swing right, to turn left.
More than a few times I've nearly collected one!
And I've lost count of the biker accidents I've seen on motorways caused by them weaving in between drivers that don't use their mirrors......
