Manchester or London

I didn't want to study in London because of the cost, so i didn't apply to any unis there. Can she afford to live in London for 3/4 years while she isn't earning much?

Thats a silly question, anywhere is dangerous in some sence.

Depends where you live in the city. I was at Salford Uni last week and the security was pretty tight round the halls of residence.

Shes doing a business studies course and i said she should go for which is better for the course. But shes a girl and wants to choose which
A) Has the best shopping
B) Is safest

London and Manchester are both big places, you're going to have to be a tiny bit more specific.

By the University of Manchester or Kings College London. Im not to sure to be honest shes not very specific herself. She keeps asking whether I'll find out for her but to be honest ive never lived in either so i have no idea.

London is miles safer than Manchester. My sis went to Manchester university, the place where all the students live - fallowfield or somewhere like that was insanely rough looking. For her final year she lived with the parents and commuted 30 miles or so into Manchester a day, it's that grotty. Off licences where the cashiers are behind bank-style screens and bars, did not feel safe at all. By comparison the student areas of London, Hackney etc are quite nice. Only problem is London is a lot more expensive than Manchester.
