Student night or a friday/saturday? I bet that those shots were almost entirely from Friday and saturdays, aka locals' nights.

Saturday night, I took a pic at midnight of Chippy Lane, wasn't that bad.

It's kinda expected to get dirty though, imagine everyone in the city goes to the SAME alley way to get food at the same few hours, you can picture how much mess it creates. To be fair to the city, those rubbish are all gone by morning.

Newport isn't that bad. It used to be the roughest town in Britain, but then they changed it to a city, now it is way down the rough rankings.
