Right, me and a mate are going to Chelseas stadium (Stamford Bridge) to see a 6v6 footy match in just over a month. What's the chespest way to get there and back from Cheshire? Let's say from Manchester. Bit of a noob question i know :(

national express probably. should be a quid or two each way. It is from bristol anyway. Theyare usually cheaper than megabus as well.

Walking.

No seriously.

If you don't tell us more information how are we supposed to know what's viable and what isn't.

What time are you travelling?
Do you drive?
Are you students?

Cheapest way using public transport will probably be a coach and it will take about 5 hours and cost between £15 and £45 depending when you travel.

We need to be there by 12pm, and be back anytime in the evening really. My mate drives but he has his MOT on that day, so we are thinking of another way to get there really. We are not students, we work.

Get him to move his MOT appointment?

Yeah he is going to try, but if we can't get it sorted we wanna have a back up plan ready.

He has a month to get a different appointment, there is no way he won't be able to easily find another day to do it on. Even with 5 minutes notice I could easily find somewhere to MOT a car.

I found the reverse when I went recently, national express wanted a lot more than megabus, on both occasions.
:)

Use the National Express website, and you can get a train or coach down there. Coach is cheaper than the train, but it takes a lot longer and will be very uncomfortable compared to a train.

you want to book your ticket from manchester to london victoria if you can..then you need get to fulham broadway as someone else mentioned...which is no more than half an hour by tube from victoria station..

Since my question is very similar there isn't much point creating a new thread so i'll just ask here. Im also heading down to london from manchester but im going to wembley. What station should i be heading for from manchester and then what tube stations am i heading for (im assuming at least 1)
