Not the most exciting of threads I'm afraid, but my little 1.6 Scenic's front tyres are wearing unevenly, so it's coming up time for a new pair and the tracking done.

Not kept a car long enough to need to buy new tyres for a long time, so no idea what's decent any more.

It's currently got 185/65/15's on, 2 Dunlop SP something's on the back, and 2 of a make I've never heard of on the front.

I'm not going to be driving it like the Stig, but I will have my 18 month old boy in a lot of the time, so something that'll corner and stop in the wet would be a bonus, and preferably not stupidly expensive either. Cheers. :)

Personally I'm a fan of Falken's for a good ratio of performance to price. Camskill do the ZE912's and SN828's in your size for around £35-37 a corner :)

Another vote for Falkens, got them on my Subaru and I cant fault them.

Got the FK452's on the Volvo and they handle a million times (in wet and dry) better than any budget tyre I've had on before and cost around the same.

Roadchamp remoulds. That way you'll be too afraid to drive it at all in the wet, leaving you and the boy in total safety.

Mine worked out at around £200 for all 4 from Camskill, delivered, cheapest place I could find, just took them to a tyre fitter and he charged me £20 to fit them.

Yep, I did the exact same. Looked at them recently and after a few thousand miles they still look fantastic, and I don't exactly drive like Uncle Slowpoke :)

Thanks for all the replies (except for Lopéz of course ;)), will look into the Falken's, and probably get some ordered this week.

No worries, I'm sure they'll be great. Not sure which of the two to recommend though, probably the one's that cost a few quid more makes sense I guess ;)

I thought it was only the 452s that were the good falkens, and the 912s didnt get such good reviews, bit like the toyo proxes t1r and most other toyos bar the R888s.
