any point of sound card with usb headphones?

You cannot use any controls or inputs or outputs or bass and treble controls when using USB headphones or headset.
connecting USB headphones/headset or usb speakers bypasses the soundcard.

hmmm ok thanks. howcome then usb headets seem to be rated better than socket ones?

think im going bypass getting sound card then and just get some ambx and usb headset

from what i heard from my mates and stuff i always though that usb headsets were better then socket ones aswell were they wrong in telling me that?

Definitely. A good set of socket headphones will almost always be better than a set of usb headphones.

The question in the title is the wrong way round. It should be "any point in USB headphones with a soundcard?".

With all but the most basic soundcards, the answer would be a definite and resounding "No".

Only USB headphones Ive owned were powered, and gave a really high pitch sequel my parents & brother couldn't hear.
