I'm looking for a new office desk and have found a thread that mentions the Ikea Jonas desk. It looks good and I might be sold. Could anybody else who has one, please give me their opinion on it (especially in terms of strength and durability).

Many thanks.

I always find Ikea furniture to be fantasticly hard wearing and durable. I have a Mikael desk (fairly similar to Jonas) and we have a few Jonas' at work and they are all very sturdy, well built and look great.

For the price you cannot go wrong :)

I have the Ikea Galant desk and I think it's fantastic. If you're planning to put your desk in a corner it's an excellent use of space. Really good deep corner where my monitor sits, and nice and wide as well. Best desk for working/gaming I've ever had.

quite a few people have one here, as do i. its a fantastic desk. cant fault it at all. strong enough to stand on, big enough for most of your gear. i love mine.

tada!

I have one in my flat at uni. Great desk. Fits my 32"hdtv, laptop, 360 horizontally and speakers with a little room to spare!

Would definitely recommend one

I've got one too. It's very solid, no wobbles or anything whatsoever, despite it not actually being particularly heavy. The drawer is smooth, the cupboard door hinges are pretty strong, I definitely recommend it.

Only small thing I don't like is the brace thing that links the side (without the drawer/cupboard) to the top. If you sit like a normal person it's not really a problem, but occasionally I sit with one leg folded under the other which means my knee hits it. Tiny niggle and I've simply learned not to sit so close!
