Wolves FC (Spoiler ALERT)

I do wish football went back to it's roots, being the best for the best! Not because the team has the best finance to get the best players in the world. I miss the late 80's etc, when the best teams in England were the best because they had the ability to find the best "local" talent and grow the players raw skills....

LoL :D

Name me all the local lads Wolves had in the late 80's.

I'll start you off, Steve Bull.

Just cos I don't frequent the Sports forum much really doesn't impact my validity of my opinion, but G|mp being G|mp thinks otherwise....

Not at all but to wander in here like the font of knowledge on Wolves and then pull out the "I'm a Don, I make the rules" BS riled me.

I don't claim to being the most knowledgable fan in the world, however I do enjoy following Wolves and going to as many games as I can. Please show me where I claimed to be the "font of knowledge"?
Secondly, my post was made in jest. I don't read the Sports forum that regularly. If a Don did make a rule about no team threads, I didn't know. But there is no need to be an idiot about it is there..... at the end of the day, people use these forums as a place on enjoyment/leisure. Lets keep it that way.

I wasn't being an idiot, I was pointing out they aint allowed anymore, you stated you made the rules which you don't, you work in the shop.

"Don Gives It Some Ego" mega-shock non-story. Surely you've been here long enough to get used to that by now?

It's hardly a proper club thread either, it might as well have been titled "Wolves near to promotion or some such", and we could have carried on discussing the ups and downs of the end of the season, but nope, can't stop the peeing contest now eh.

Aye I'm used to it still doesn't stop he fact it riles me :)

Nope and I always go highest ;)

G|mp, I think you need to chill out a bit, enjoy the forums for what they are... a discussion about things. Opinions, discussions and banter. Why all the negativity?

Whale music is a good relaxant. :D;)

I'm perfectly chilled dude :)

You're are lulling me into making a joke about your wife, I'm not gonna fall for it :)

. Or are you one of those fair weather Wolves fans as I haven't seen you in here discussing the Wolves for a very long time, do you only pop up when they are doing well?

I see you have a fancy new Wolves signature as well, you must be so proud.

funniest thing ive read in SA in ages considering your location and your sig :p

Not long got back from a great day out at Derby.........lost my voice and soaked through to the skin with beer but who cares, the Wolves are going up!

Wouldn't say it was a fantastic performance but at this stage of the season, nerves kick in and it's about results, not performances.

It's been an awesome season apart from the 10 game blip. I've only missed 4 games this season, out of the 44 we've played and most have been enjoyable.

We certainly need to splash the cash, atleast £20 million imo.

A win on Saturday aginst QPR should see us up and another win should see us bag the title.

Just read about the horrific injury to Ridgewell, broke his leg but tried to stand on it and it gave way. I think Birmingham without Carsley and Ridgewell are at a huge risk of slipping into the play offs. Cardiff have the easier run in so my money is on them coming second.

I think Reading have one of the best teams for slipping into 2nd, if any team does take it from Birmingham. Defence is quite solid.
