you still like obama?

Lets see, main campaign promise, instant withdrawal of troops from Iraq
*******

This is what Obama's campaign website said:

Obama will immediately begin to remove our troops from Iraq. He will remove one to two combat brigades each month, and have all of our combat brigades out of Iraq within 16 months. Obama will make it clear that we will not build any permanent bases in Iraq. He will keep some troops in Iraq to protect our embassy and diplomats; if al Qaeda attempts to build a base within Iraq, he will keep troops in Iraq or elsewhere in the region to carry out targeted strikes on al Qaeda.

Source.

That was his plan as announced in September 2007. Nothing there about taking all troops out of the country immediately.

i still like obama the same level as before, which is to say I still think he's a lying moron who doesn't know what he's doing.

Lets see, main campaign promise, instant withdrawal of troops from Iraq while everyone else, including bush, was saying a tactical withdrawal by 2011/2012, whats Obama now decided, tactical withdrawal over the next 18months at least, he's also just asked for more funds for the war. This is all ignoring the fact he's trying to fix the failing economy in the same way Brown is, as in, bad idea's that can't work while making the situation worse with every new injection of money they can't afford while increasing public sector jobs and spending to "hide" unemployment figures.

He never said immediate withdrawal of troops. I believe it was immediately begin to remove the troops over those 18 months, so he hasn't broken any promises there.

If you're going to keep a proportion of your troops there and slowly withdraw then you're going to need more funds, I think that's pretty obvious.

never liked obama but i quite liked george bush :P. Much better leader then gordon brown for example.

So you dont think he's going to cause the next war?

Like President Truman, who sent troops into Korea.

Like President Johnson, who sent troops into Vietnam.

Like President Regan, who sent troops into Grenada.

Like President Bush Snr, who sent troops into Panama and the Gulf.

Like President Clinton, who sent troops into Somalia and the Balkans.

Like President Bush Jnr, who sent troops into the Gulf.

Is Obama any different ?

And you could do the same for British PMs. Millitary conflicts are a fact of life for a US president, just like a British PM.

Exactly. Almost all US Presidents have been engaged in military activity and the same can go for British PMs.

During the Victorian period, there were very few years where there was peace.

Still believes in bin laden and al al qaeda, those idiotic mythologies

mythological eh?

Not really I think Bin Laden is fairly real as well as the organisation. What a complete nob this guy is.

Yeah I do quite like him.

Though I do think the whole "first black president thing" that the media keeps saying about a little tiresome. Not his fault or anything, and not taking anything away from him personally.
